"If The President Signs One Piece Of Paper"

There is something strange happening beneath the bubbling muck of Washington. The swamp is churning. The creatures that dwell in the slime are writhing. One wonders if some may be trying to escape.

We have a glimpse of what is happening in the mire thanks to Patrick Byrne, the founder and former CEO of Overstock.com, who left the company last year. He’s published a lengthy article on his DeepCapture.com website describing how the election was stolen for Joe Biden.

Byrne attended a meeting at the White House last Friday with President Trump, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, attorney Sidney Powell, and White House staff. Byrne has posted photos as proof, and the fact that he was there was confirmed Sunday by a New York Times reporter.

What is remarkable is that Byrne has been disclosing publicly what was discussed. This is highly unusual. Excerpts from what he’s been posting on Twitter over the weekend about the meeting, which he says lasted from 7:30pm until just after midnight:

My involvement is I was in the room when it happened. The raised voices included my own. I can promise you: President Trump is being terribly served by his advisers. They want him to lose and are lying to him. He is surrounding by mendacious mediocrities.

[President Trump is] too nice. There were three men caught in lies right in front of his face. If I had been he, there are three men I would’ve fired on the spot. General Counsel Pat Cippolone wants him to lose and is lying to him. 100% sure.

[The advisors are] Pat Cippollone and two other lawyers. Eric and Derek. [White House chief of staff Mark Meadows] wants him to concede and transition also.

In addition, any suggestion if there was talk of a military coup or martial law is also a flat lie. 100% false. I was there for 4 1/2 hours, I heard the entire conversation, that is a 100% fabrication.

I was there for the full 4.5 hour meeting. Claims military coup/martial law were discussed is 100% fabrication. Trump is lied to by his own advisers, who tell staff “get the president to concede“ while they stall Trump. Meadows + Lawyers Eric, Derek, GC Pat Cippollone (leaker).

I’m not afraid of these weasels. A greasy slickster like Pat Cippollone leaks lies to the NYT. I tell the truth publicly.

[President Trump] wants to fight on. They are bending over backwards to come up with reasons to tell him he can’t do anything. He needs to fire them all or he loses. Too nice. Thinks he will look bad in press. Nonsense like that.

He truly believe he won and he truly did win. I did not vote for him, but I don’t want to see our country hijacked in a psyop.

It is 100% winnable. No martial law required. Sydney and Flynn presented a course that I estimate has 50% – 75% chance of victory. His staff just try to convince him to do nothing but accept it. As a CEO, my heart broke to see what he is going through. He is betrayed from within.

Meadows and legal staff led by GC Cippolone reflexively shoot down every sober discussion or idea presented. Their frame of mind is automatic: “we better not try that, it may not work, it would hurt your reputation in the press…“ No kidding, they say stuff like that. Tell DJT.

For the first time in my life I feel sorry for Donald Trump. He is standing up to his waist in snakes. Trust Rudy and Sidney only.

I was just referring to White House group. I trust Lin [Wood] also. And most of all, Mike Flynn.

The White House legal team seem like scheming mediocrities worrying about not getting invited to the right parties unless they convince Trump to concede. Surrender -monkeys. Rudy and his people are strong. SIDNEY and flynn are fighters.

To summarize: Patrick Byrne is a Libertarian, not a Republican, and did not vote for Trump. But because he has been publicly criticizing election fraud and championing democracy, he was invited to Friday’s meeting. At that meeting, Flynn and Powell “presented a course” of action, but they’re being sabotaged by the sludge-dwelling swamp creatures who think their careers will be advanced if the president quits.

It’s possible, of course, that Byrne is exaggerating or misrepresenting, but he has no obvious motive to do so. Powell subsequently retweeted Byrne’s summary, which we can take as independent confirmation. The most likely scenario is that Byrne has a personal interest in combating the deep state creatures, and is wealthy enough to have the time and means to do it. A suite at the Trump International may be secure, but it’s not cheap.

The question is what Flynn and Powell proposed to the president. The New York Times reported over the weekend, citing an anonymous source, that “part of the White House meeting on Friday night was a discussion about an executive order to take control of voting machines to examine them.” Even after allowing for bias from the newspaper’s Democrat activists posing as reporters, and self-interest on the part of the anonymous leaker, this hints at one possibility.

It’s consistent with what Flynn and Powell have been saying publicly. Flynn told Newsmax on Thursday: “[The president] could immediately on his order seize every single one of these machines around the country on his order. He could also order, within the swing states, if he wanted to, he could take military capabilities and he could place them in those states and basically rerun an election in each of those states. It’s not unprecedented.”

Powell has said: “Impound the machines for immediate forensic inspections. If there was no fraud, the #Left should welcome it!” Former NYPD commissioner Bernard Kerik endorsed this as well. Trump said Sunday: “Martial law = Fake News.”

This sounds like it might be an important news story. The former CEO of a publicly traded billion-dollar company is saying publicly what was discussed when he met with the president. Byrne’s father is credited with turning around Geico in the 1970s, and the family has counted Warren Buffett as a close friend. But instead our purported journalists are treating us to investigative articles like This Is How The Biden Family Celebrates Christmas.

There are no outside signs of a concession. Trump advisor Dan Scavino posted on Facebook on Saturday: “FYSA—President Trump will not be conceding.” FYSA means For Your Situational Awareness. Powell was spotted at the White House again Sunday evening, though she reportedly did not meet with the president this time. The Trump campaign filed its paperwork Sunday before the U.S. Supreme Court challenging the Pennsylvania election process. And the Arizona GOP is being unusually mysterious.

About an hour and a half after Friday evening’s meeting ended, Trump tweeted: “Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!” January 6 is the date of the joint session of Congress at 1 p.m., at which the Vice President will open “all the certificates and papers purporting to be certificates of the electoral votes.”

The most mysterious line is what Byrne wrote a day before the meeting at the White House: “I am indeed confident we win…. if the President signs one piece of paper.”

By now we can hazard some guesses about what that “one piece of paper” might be. As for whether it will be signed, Trump does not seem willing to let the tentacular swamp creatures win so easily.

Americans should plan to show up in force in Washington on January 6, 2021 at 1 p.m. This is one swamp that isn’t going to drain itself.
